An Introduction to the Philosophy

It is my belief that people are not meant to have overly strict limitations set on them, either by themselves or by society. Through observation and personal experience, it seems that the majority of people would be happier living life in the "middle of the road" as opposed to following an extreme viewpoint, be it diet, political, spiritual, or anything else we tend to get wrapped up in to the extent that we deny ourselves fundamental rights.

Throughout this discussion you will hear me talk about having "relief valves" you can set up for yourself. These are little get out of jail free cards that one can use sparingly when needed. If you find yourself going to the relief valve too often, you may need to change your lifestyle to something a little more relaxed or find a different way of reaching the goal you have setup for yourself.

Another idea I may touch on while speaking to the philosophy of moderation is "living in the now", there have been many, many, teachers throughout history that have explained and taught this idea and they are all better at it than I am, so I will direct you to Eckhart Tolle, Buddha, or even the New Testament when read with the right attitude.
